What's it Worth?

The true value of an item is worth what someone is willing to pay on any certain day, but as an antique dealer I take the average of what an item sells for and that is what I use to determine the amount I can offer.  Normally I get called to an estate and they show me a bunch of things.  I let them know what certain items are worth and certain items I take pictures of and write down some information.  Then I go home research the items I am not sure on the value and usually within a few hours I have a very good idea what your items are worth.  I usually offer about 60% of the value of what I think your items are worth.

Sometimes you might have a special item, such as an original oil painting of a famous painter or a valueable piece of pottery or glassware or maybe a Tiffany Lamp.  Well those items I might still want to purchase directly from you for a very fair offer or I can help you research and sell those items through an established auction house.  Certain items sell better in certain areas of the country or World for that matter, which is part of the help I can offer.

Last but not least I can assure you I am an upstanding educated, trust worthy individual that truely loves what I do and want to change the image of what some perceive as the average antique dealer.

Spread the Word -- Strack's Antiques pays top dollar and they help research your valuable items.
